This training equips participants with vital skills and knowledge to respond effectively to various threat scenarios, including those involving weapons beyond firearms. Based on the Homeland Security “Run, Hide, Fight” protocol and aligned with A.L.I.C.E. (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Escape) training, this session will provide a comprehensive overview of how to navigate potential crisis situations.
 
At the end of this session, participants will:

•    Define what constitutes an active shooter or attacker situation, including various types of weapons and active threat situations and scenarios
•    Understand the “Run, Hide, Fight” protocol, highlighting its application and how to execute
•    Demonstrate the techniques to assess your environment continuously and recognize potential threats
•    Know how to alert others and convey critical information during a crisis situation
•    Implement emotional strategies for coping with the aftermath of an active threat incident 
•    Develop an individualized plan for responding to potential threats in your specific environment
