Wondering how to best handle reasonable suspicion? Join us to equip yourself with the essential skills and knowledge to effectively recognize and respond to substance use. We will walk you through the laws and policy and then give you the tools to handle situations effectively. 

At the end of this session, participants will:

  • Identify and explain key federal and state laws related to substance use in the workplace, ensuring compliance and understanding of legal responsibilities 
  • Recognize common behavioral and physical signs associated with substance use, to assist with early detection and intervention, and articulate the concepts of reasonable suspicion
  • Understand the responsibilities of supervisors, including communication strategies, interventions techniques, and reporting procedures such as how to document
  • Identify the services and support options provided by Employee Assistance Programs, and understand how to guide employees to these resources
