Client Overview

This Columbus-based firm operates in the architectural design industry with 48 employees. Known for its hybrid work model and deadline-driven roles, the company wanted to enhance employee well-being while maintaining high performance. We collaborated with both the HR and Accounting teams to develop and deliver a wellness strategy that was both accessible and impactful.

The Challenge

Prior to implementing a structured program, they faced multiple wellness-related challenges:

  • A noticeable rise in employee burnout
  • Low and inconsistent engagement with existing wellness offerings
  • A lack of employee awareness around preventive care and personal health metrics
  • Limited understanding of healthcare spending and how to manage it effectively

With a widespread workforce and demanding project timelines, the firm needed a solution that was flexible, approachable, and easy to integrate into their current workflow.

Our Solution

WorkSpring developed a targeted wellness strategy tailored to their unique culture and operational structure. Our solution included:

  • On-site wellness support to assist with biometric screenings and educate employees on their health metrics
  • Monthly wellness themes with engaging content delivered via the WorkSpring Monthly Toolkit
  • A blended approach to delivery—offering both virtual and in-person options including lunch & learns, interactive workshops, and workplace challenges

Highlights

Several key elements made the program stand out:

  • Leadership Engagement: Senior leaders actively participated and shared their own wellness stories, helping to normalize well-being as part of workplace culture
  • Creative Incentives: Employees received gift cards, entered raffles, and engaged in other no-cost reward programs thanks to close collaboration between leadership and the consultant
  • Eager Participation: Employees showed genuine curiosity, asking questions and participating in wellness events with enthusiasm
  • Sustained Momentum: After a successful inaugural year, they are rolling out “Wellness Wednesdays” in 2025 to keep engagement high and introduce new challenges aligned with leadership’s wellness goals

The Results

In just the first year, the program delivered measurable impact:

  • 62% employee participation in on-site wellness events
  • 60% completion rate for online health assessments
  • 59% of employees reported positive mental health
  • 85% of employees rated their medical care as good or better

These results reflect a culture that is shifting toward one of connection, support, and proactive care.

Why It Matters

Connection is at the heart of what we do. Our goal is to ensure every individual we work with feels valued, supported, and informed about how their benefits can positively impact their everyday life. Through the WorkSpring wellness program, we prioritize meaningful connections—helping employees integrate wellness into their daily routines with the help of dedicated consultants. This personalized support enables employees to make more informed, confident decisions about their health and well-being.
