Wellness Programming

Client Overview

This organization operates in the banking industry with a workforce of 192 employees headquartered in Hillsboro, OH. Their environment includes multiple locations with diverse employee roles. For this initiative, we collaborated primarily with the HR/Training Director to deliver a tailored wellness strategy that aligned with their organizational goals.

The Challenge

Before launching a formal wellness program, the organization faced challenges with internal communication and engagement around wellness initiatives. Efforts to push different strategies and generate enthusiasm among employees were inconsistent, limiting the impact of early wellness efforts. Without a structured approach, participation was low, and employees were unclear on the available programs and their benefits.

Our Solution

We designed a fully customized Wellness Strategy that addressed these challenges head-on by focusing on:

  • Clear, targeted communication strategies to engage employees
  • Personalized marketing materials to promote initiatives and raise awareness
  • A monthly wellness toolkit and a set of Signature Offerings© tailored to employee interests
  • A centralized wellness portal to encourage participation through personalized challenges and resources

Additionally, we focused on building engagement through Employee Program Meetings, Onsite Health Screenings, and consistent promotion of signature wellness offerings and portal activities.

Highlights

Ongoing support has been key to the program’s success. We continue to:

  • Deliver updated wellness strategies aligned with employee needs
  • Provide detailed reporting and analytics to monitor participation and impact
  • Offer program coaching and feedback to adapt for changing needs and priorities

The goal is to maintain wellness as a strategic priority within the organization, building momentum year-over-year.

The Results

The results from the inaugural year were impressive:

  • 54% of employees participated in the organization's first-ever onsite health screening. Many discovered previously undiagnosed health conditions, prompting them to seek care and begin treatment plans.
  • 73% completed the Online Health Risk Assessment, providing valuable data:
    • 54% of respondents indicated they were ready to make changes to improve their weight.
    • This information allowed the HR department to tailor future wellness activities based on real employee needs.
  • 46% of employees completed preventive care exams, reflecting an increased awareness and commitment to personal health.

The first year laid the foundation for a healthier, more engaged workforce. The organization is now more informed and equipped with tools to guide employees toward improved well-being.

Why It Matters

A strong wellness strategy is not just about offering programs—it’s about fostering a culture where employees have the tools and support to live healthier, happier lives. By designing an engaging, data-driven wellness initiative, this organization has made significant progress toward becoming a workplace where well-being is truly a priority.
